Painting

Marshall and Stacey got up early again today and headed over to start work on the house while I packed up the car and cleaned up the apartment. Tomorrow I had to officially move out of the apartment and turn in my keys, so I was down to the wire as far as packing and cleaning went. Eventually, our small travel vacuum died on my, so I put it back on charge, showered and headed over to the house with JoJo. Marshall and Stacey were busy finishing up painting the inside of the house and baseboard, so I watered the plants and then convinced Marshall to let me finally paint under the stipulation that I wore a mask and latex gloves. I had to go to Lowe's to pick up some more paint they needed to finish the inside painting, so I also picked up some latex gloves so I could paint. When I returned with the supplies, I put on the gloves and mask and started painting the outside of the house by our front porch. It was the only part of the siding that was lacking two coats of paint.

After a little painting, we decided to go grab a late lunch. It just so happened our friends Melissa and Adam had yet to eat as well, so they met us at Zada Jane's for lunch. Fortunately, Marshall's friend Ed was working when we arrived. Ed is the head chef/kitchen manager for Zada Jane's and so he came out to chat with us. Knowing Marshall is a huge fan of the dinner quesadilla, Ed told the waitress to bring us dinner menus and he would make us whatever we wanted. Four of us ended up ordering the chicken and apple quesadilla. It was amazeballs! Marshall had told me how wonderful it was, but this was my first time actually trying it and I would totally recommend everyone try it. It was quite possibly the best quesadilla I have ever had in my mouth.

Eventually, we had to head back to the house and we all painted until it got dark and we could simply paint no more. So, we went to Ikea! I love that place! We stayed there shopping from 7pm until they closed at 9pm and bought way too much. We headed back to the house to drop off some of our purchases and pick up JoJo and then went to the apartment to drop JoJo off and went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Our waitress was kind of slow and I was tired, but the food was good. I had my favorite Thai Lettuce Wraps and Stacey and I both got cheesecakes to go and Marshall got a milkshake to go but drank it all before we ever got out of the restaurant.

When I got back to the apartment I did some laundry and went to bed while Stacey and Marshall watched Ancient Aliens. Marshall fell asleep on the floor so I made him get up and go to bed and handed Stacey the remote and went to bed. We were all pretty whooped from our long day of work and then shopping.
