Nolan Eason

At 1:03AM on Friday, March 30, 2012 my first child was born - a son. We named him Nolan Eason. 21" long, 5lb 3oz. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, except that he was stillborn. As we searched for answers to his untimely death, we also searched for comfort. This blog was created as a way of working through my sorrow by trying to find something beautiful in the world each day. Hopefully, along the way it will help others to heal as well.

3 more days!

Only three more days filming on season 2 of Homeland! Tomorrow is our last day of filming in Charlotte and then we have one day of filming in Charleston, SC, next week. Today we wrapped yet another character for the season - Rupert who plays Quinn. We filmed at Latta Plantation near the sound stages. There was a beautiful lake there which we filmed next to but apparently the lake was not swim worthy. I'm not sure what had been dumped there or what not, but apparently it was considered toxic. Too bad too because it really was a beautiful lake. It was cold out by the lake and in the shade of the woods but it was still a pretty nice day of filming. Rupert decided that since it was his last day of filming he would have a little more fun than usual. So he strapped on Nick's steadicam and got a few lessons in the art of steadicam operating. I think he realized it was a little harder than it looks!
