This morning I awoke early and could not get back to sleep. Eventually, at 6:30am I got up and went into the living room and did some reading. I read for about an hour before sleep finally hit me again and I dozed off on the couch. I awoke to Susan texting me saying she would be over shortly. We had made plans to go to the free Zumba party this morning at Babs McDance. It was a little before 9am when Susan showed up. Startled by the front door opening, JoJo started barking and woke Marshall up. He eventually came out and chatted with Susan and I until we had to leave for Zumba. Susan's neighbors, Mary Beth and Kelly, met us at Zumba. There ended up being so many people there that they had to move it outside in order to accommodate everyone. Fortunately, it was a beautiful day and not too hot so it ended up being the perfect place to Zumba. We stayed for the first hour and then left as they all had things to do and my pregnant butt was tired after an hour.

After showering, Marsh and I went to the mall to grab some lunch and get my eyebrows threaded. I found a short sleeved shirt to wear to today's maternity picture session with my cousin Jay. We went home to change and went to the beach to meet Jay. The weather was so nice, the beach was packed! It took forever just to get on to the island and then it took us awhile to finally find a place to go take some pictures. We finally settled on the north end which was much less crowded. We did some pictures that I had seen online and on Pinterest and then just played around until it got dark.

On the way home we stopped and had dinner at El Cerro and then went to Boombaloties for ice cream. Once home, Marshall decided it was time he started introducing his son to some good music. So he pulled out his super nice Bose headphones and hooked them up to his iPhone and started playing some tunes for him. First we tried some jazz and the baby didn't really move much. Maybe jazz will be a good way to lull him to sleep! Then he played some Grateful Dead which aroused the baby a little as he wiggled around a bit while listening. Lastly, we turned on some Jack Johnson and boy did he go to town. He started bopping away in there to some Jack. I think he must have his mother's taste in music as of the three that is what I listen to the most. Either that or the little guy can already hear the music I play in the car and is just used to hearing Jack Johnson since that is what he is more likely to hear in the car with me. I'm going to try to play some music to him every night as studies have shown that playing music to a baby in the womb is good for the brain development and heck it just might help him to be more musically inclined when he comes out. Ironically, Marshall is still hoping he takes to the piano. Being a guitarist himself I had always thought Marshall would want his kid to play the guitar too, but I guess playing the piano is always something Marshall wished he could do so he is hoping his kid can instead. Fortunately, we have both at our house so whichever our kid takes to he will be able to play!
