Nolan Eason

At 1:03AM on Friday, March 30, 2012 my first child was born - a son. We named him Nolan Eason. 21" long, 5lb 3oz. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, except that he was stillborn. As we searched for answers to his untimely death, we also searched for comfort. This blog was created as a way of working through my sorrow by trying to find something beautiful in the world each day. Hopefully, along the way it will help others to heal as well.

American Idol!

I spent the day shopping for Brandy's lingerie party Saturday. I finished picking up the party supplies that I still needed then went to Victoria Secret to get her some lingerie. There was something very strange about shopping for skimpy lingerie while nearly 8 months pregnant. I'm sure I got a few strange looks while I was in there too. I found her a great little white 3 piece lingerie outfit that will be perfect for her wedding night. The back of it has a little white bow and a small train and it comes with a garter.

Tonight was the highly anticipated American Idol premiere! Woot Woot!

All the girls came over and Mom cooked for all of us. Shea has been begging my Mom to make her some meatloaf, so Mom finally made meatloaf tonight. The first time Shea ever had dinner with us when we were in high school my Mom had made meatloaf and Shea loved it. Ever since then Shea has always asked my Mom to make her some more meatloaf. Shea told her tonight it was as good as she remembered. So good, in fact, that she had three helpings of it! To go with the meatloaf, I made creamed corn, vinegar cucumbers and biscuits. I have to say American Idol was a bit of a letdown tonight. It was just the auditions, but there was nobody that really wowed me and Nicki Minaj did not impress me. I can see that she is probably going to get on my nerves this season. Susan brought her new fancy curling iron to do my Mom's hair and show her how she could start styling her hair. All in all it was a wonderful girls' night with my favorite ladies.
