Today was my first appointment of the week. Aunt Jo came down from Goldsboro to go with me to it since it was an ultrasound appointment. Last time she came and went with me was when I was pregnant with Nolan and it was the first ultrasound she had ever seen since they didn't do them when she was pregnant with her boys. I am 30 weeks and 4 days now. The baby's heartbeat was 141 and everything looked great still. The ultrasound tech said the baby had a bunch of hair and pointed out the little hash marks to us on the ultrasound. Aunt Jo said she could never see them. I saw what she was pointing at. It appears he only has hair at the back of his head right now though or at least that was all that was showing up on the ultrasound. I am curious to see what color that hair might be. Nolan had a head full of hair but it was all brown. That surprised me because Marshall and I both were blonde babies and I had just assumed our baby would be blonde too. I guess you just never know what genes the baby will end up with. It will be very interesting to see if this little guy looks anything like Nolan did when he was born. Some siblings look nothing alike even when they are the same sex so you never know.

After my appointment, Aunt Jo and I went to my Mom's office and picked her up for lunch. We went to Rucker Johns and sat outside since it was such a nice day. Aunt Jo was amazed it was so warm in Wilmington as she said it was 45 degrees in Goldsboro when she left there this morning. We had a great lunch together and after we dropped Mom off, Aunt Jo and I went to Cracker Barrel as she was looking for a Willow Tree statue for Brandy. She had seen one that was a couple that she wanted to get Brandy for her engagement and she hadn't been able to find it in Goldsboro. Fortunately, we found exactly what she was looking for and so she picked up that and some candy for the other grandkids and Uncle Brooks. When we got back to Aunt Jo's I showed her some patterns I had found online and was wondering if she could make them. They were crochet patterns for a leprechaun hat so Aunt Jo was going to try to find the knitting pattern so she could make it. Otherwise, she said she would have a friend of hers that crochets to help her change the pattern into a knitting pattern she could use.

After Aunt Jo left to head back to Goldsboro, I went over to my Dad's to visit with him and the dogs and to drop off some dog food for Buster. Buster was so excited to see me when I got there he just kept running around and trying to refrain from jumping up on me. He finally raised up on his hind legs, careful not to touch me just so he could reach my face and lick me. He really is such a sweet dog. I had a good long visit with Dad and while I was there the baby started moving up a storm so Dad was able to feel him. That was the first time Dad had felt this baby move and he seemed so excited. Today was Dino's last day with his son Dylan before taking him back to Florida tomorrow, so I met them for dinner after leaving my Dad's. We went to Dino's favorite place - Terrazzo's. Dylan was really good but boy was he hungry! Dino had already fed him dinner before we went to dinner, but that didn't stop Dylan. He ate a whole cup full of cereal treats, a couple of pieces of bread, a toddler cookie, and then nearly all of Dino's side of penne pasta. Yep, he is definitely Italian like his daddy. It was fun to see them both and I hope that come March the court decides that Dylan should be spending more time with Dino than he is now. I have a feeling that is going to be one sad little boy tomorrow when Dino has to give him back to his mommy.
