Nolan Eason
At 1:03AM on Friday, March 30, 2012 my first child was born - a son. We named him Nolan Eason. 21" long, 5lb 3oz. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, except that he was stillborn. As we searched for answers to his untimely death, we also searched for comfort. This blog was created as a way of working through my sorrow by trying to find something beautiful in the world each day. Hopefully, along the way it will help others to heal as well.

Thank God It's...Thursday!
Thank God It's...Thursday! Yep, half a day of work for me and then I'm homeward bound. Unfortunately, we didn't go in until 1pm, so I had to stay through lunch at 7pm and hand over my stuff to Lauren. I set with her for a minute to try to go over some things I had noticed in her notes, but she was very defensive and didn't seem to want to understand what I was telling her. Oh well, if she doesn't want to learn I really can't help her. I eventually gave up and gave her everything and said thanks. I had worked through my lunch, so I called Marshall and met him at the food court in Southpark mall by my apartment before we headed out of town. He already had my dinner ordered and waiting for me by the time I got there. Showmars never tasted so good. I was so hungry! We wolfed our meals down, then drove to the apartment to grab JoJo and my bag and head home. We both had to drive since I would be coming back up to Charlotte before Marshall would be. It wasn't until 12:45am when we arrived home in Wilmington and we had a full day of doctor appointments ahead of us tomorrow. We crashed in bed watching Dexter and hoping that tomorrow would bring us good news and a great view of our baby's sex.
