Since I don't get home much, when I do I have to make the most of my day. Today was an errand kind of day - Target, recycling center, those types of things, and of course, lunch at one of our favorite local spots - Pita Delight. Even our friendly manager John was working today. Then, as if seeing our family last night wasn't good enough, they were all coming to Wilmington today! Yay! Lots of family time this weekend. Originally, I thought it was just going to be Aunt Jo and my cousin Erika coming to join us for Panic Attack, but then the rest of them cleared their schedule and cancelled their softball game and came down too! It's always fun to have a bunch of us together for you never know what kind of shenanigans we might get in to. For a couple of years now, Aunt Jo has been wanting to come down and go to the haunted house here in town called Panic Attack. We went two years ago when it first opened and it was great! Finally, this year she made it happen and so did Brent, Candie, Ashley, Erika, Jannah, Keith, Rylee and her brother Marshall. Of course, Mom came along too and my friend Susan and her friends Mike and Kevin.

The whole gang came in town early for they wanted to hit up the Halloween store on the way. After some time shopping there, we headed downtown towards Panic Attack to get in line early. Once there we ended up having to wait as the doors weren't open yet, but since there was a large group of us, we ended up getting the fast pass discount and then Aunt Jo bought all the tickets with her military ID and we got an even better deal! Standing in line wasn't bad though. All the creatures started coming out and coming up to people in line. I thought Ashley and Rylee were going to pee in their pants a couple of times they got scared so good. It's almost worth the wait just to get scared in line. Of course, I knew to expect it so rather than get scared, I got a good laugh out of watching my family get the pants scared off them.

Finally, we were able to go in but we had to be split up into two groups of 8 since we had so many people. Marshall, Susan and her friends and I went with my Mom, Aunt Jo and Erika. The rest came after us. I think at some point everyone in the group got a pretty good scare. By the time we reached the end, the girls behind us were running out and catching up with us. Afterwards, we all decided it was time to eat. After trying to get in to RX Restaurant, we settled on Kickback Jack's. Even Susan came to dinner with the clan and Billy also met us there. It was nice to just chat and eat and hang out. Even though we all saw each other just the night before, because it was Brandy's engagement party we weren't able to hang out as casually as this. It was also fun to just have a bunch of my family in Wilmington again. I don't think this much of my family had been in Wilmington at one time since Nolan's memorial, so it was fun to hang out under much better circumstances.

After dinner, everyone came back by my house for some coffee and to make some plans about our upcoming NY trip. Marshall and I had made plans to go to NY after Homeland was over for a "Baby Moon" and since my Mom had only been for a day before and my Aunt Jo had never been they along with my cousins had all decided they would join us for a few days in NY too. While we made no definite plans, we did pick out a few potential hotels as well as solidify the dates that they were all coming. Marshall and I would either go a few days earlier or stay a few days later than everyone else so we could have some alone time in NY too. Eventually, everyone had to head back to Goldsboro. While it was great seeing everyone and hanging out with them, I was glad to be able to just sit back and relax as they all drove back home.
