Today's motto: "Chaos Creates Cash."
That was true for more than one reason. For one, our current director is terrible. He doesn't tell you anything, he can't make up his mind and he has no plan for anything we do. We were on stage today and I had hoped it would be a bit better than the tunnel work was last week, but it wasn't. Secondly, he is paired with my least favorite of our 1st ADs who also refuses to give you any information, but also can't hear you when you ask for information. Yep, he's deaf. So is our other 1st AD, but the other one can actually hear a bit better and is much better at adapting to the noises on set. Thirdly, we have multiple units going today and that always is a cause for chaos. I was already getting texts first thing in the morning with questions from the other set about costumes and whatnot.
Needless to say, I was exhausted by the end of the day as I felt like I did double the work. Only 3 more days of work then I get to go home and see my baby! When I got home I found that JoJo seemed to be feeling better and better every day. She still had a few more allergy shots left, but the antibiotics she was on were doing the trick and her mood had vastly improved. She even found a tennis ball I had in my apartment that I had gotten from Scotty the grip to use to help massage my back. It worked great too, but I guess that ball is no longer mine anymore. I'm pretty sure JoJo slept with that thing as it wasn't far from her once she discovered it. If she wasn't bringing it to you to throw, she was simply laying on the floor holding it in her mouth so pleased with herself for her new toy.
Nolan Eason
At 1:03AM on Friday, March 30, 2012 my first child was born - a son. We named him Nolan Eason. 21" long, 5lb 3oz. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, except that he was stillborn. As we searched for answers to his untimely death, we also searched for comfort. This blog was created as a way of working through my sorrow by trying to find something beautiful in the world each day. Hopefully, along the way it will help others to heal as well.
