Nolan Eason

At 1:03AM on Friday, March 30, 2012 my first child was born - a son. We named him Nolan Eason. 21" long, 5lb 3oz. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, except that he was stillborn. As we searched for answers to his untimely death, we also searched for comfort. This blog was created as a way of working through my sorrow by trying to find something beautiful in the world each day. Hopefully, along the way it will help others to heal as well.

Marshall leaves for Army Wives

Marshall woke up at 6:15 to get packed up and ready to leave for Charlotte. I ended up getting up with him and got our neices' gifts and a goodie bag of cookies for Marshall packed up and ready for him to take. We chatted as he drank coffee and waited on JT to show up. JT arrived around 7:30 and he and Marshall headed out for Charlotte.

I laid down on the couch after he left, turned on the TV and fell asleep. I awoke again around 10am and just before Marshall called to tell me he was almost in Charlotte. Today he and JT would work with Steve in Charlotte and then spend the night with my cousin Jay before heading down to Charleston tomorrow morning to officially start prep on Army Wives. Hopefully, this will be the last time Marshall has to take an extra day away from his family to do work he doesn't get paid for. It's the down side of him working with a mixer that doesn't live in Wilmington. Otherwise, he could just go over to his house for a few hours today and come back home and spend the evening here with me.

Eventually, I got motivated to get up and get showered and I headed over to BWW in MJ to meet Susan, Stacey and Mike to watch football. The Panthers actually won! They beat Atlanta 30-20. Unfortunately, for Marshall I don't think he was able to see any of the game since he was working but I kept him informed via text messages the best I could. I indulged a bit at lunch and had chocolate cake and ice cream.

I left and headed home to spend the rest of the day with JoJo. I turned on the fireplace and we lounged around the rest of the day enjoying the quiet house.
