This morning I had coffee with Tina and Harper while Marshall went to the doctor and got the whopping cough vaccine and bloodwork done. Harper is such a good baby. She just smiled and jabbered away while we visited at Starbucks at Barnes and Nobles. After coffee I met Marshall back at the house and we went and grabbed lunch and ran some errands. We ended up at Best Buy where Marshall bought me a late birthday present - a new record player that will also record directly to your iPod or iPad or onto your computer! I love it. I've been wanting a new one ever since my old one stopped working. I can't wait to get it hooked up and try it out.

Marshall had a haircut appointment and asked me to go with him and keep him company so we ventured that way after doing our shopping. As we were driving in we passed an old friend of mine in the parking lot. She used to date a friend of mine and ever since they broke up, we haven't heard or seen from her. Some people are that way though. They don't think you can be friends with both parties once they break up and when you try to be they cut you off.
After Marshall's haircut, we went to one more place looking for a stocking for Nolan since it was nearby the salon. Bingo! Airlie Moon was the place. We found a beautiful blue and ivory stocking there for Nolan. It had starfish all over it which suited perfectly with Nolan's ocean themed nursery and the shell urn we got for his ashes. Dangling from the cuff are six delicate white shells. It is perfect in every way. Now we just need to find someone to embroider it for us.

Once we were done with all of our errands and Marshall was now freshly groomed, we head home to do some more baking. Today I made gingerbread cookies. They turned out okay despite my inability to properly decorate cookies. That is not a skill I have acquired. I can bake them but I am not good at decorating them. When I was done baking, Marshall made us both some ice cream in coffee mugs. Without paying attention to what I was actually doing, I realized that I had set the mug on my belly and was using it to hold the mug while I ate. Great. I am now big enough to rest things on my belly.
