Nolan Eason

At 1:03AM on Friday, March 30, 2012 my first child was born - a son. We named him Nolan Eason. 21" long, 5lb 3oz. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, except that he was stillborn. As we searched for answers to his untimely death, we also searched for comfort. This blog was created as a way of working through my sorrow by trying to find something beautiful in the world each day. Hopefully, along the way it will help others to heal as well.

Cheesecake

It's Friday! Yay and my Mom is coming up today! Since Marshall couldn't be here for the premier party, I invited my Mom to come up and go to the Homeland premier with me. We were filming on stage today and I was thinking my Mom would get here before we wrapped, but we went so quickly that we had just wrapped when she drove up. I wasn't complaining though as I was glad to get out of there at a decent time. So Mom came in and hung out in my office while I finished up and then we left and went to my apartment where we dropped off her stuff. Since it was early and we both were hungry - the fruit on a stick that Vicki had brought around had long since left me - we decided to drive a couple of blocks over and eat at the Cheesecake Factory. We made sure to save room for dessert though and took them back with us to the apartment. It was nice having my Mom in Charlotte for a change and not having to spend the entire weekend by myself. We sat on the couch and watched a movie and ate our cheesecake. It was a great way to start the weekend.
