Nolan Eason

At 1:03AM on Friday, March 30, 2012 my first child was born - a son. We named him Nolan Eason. 21" long, 5lb 3oz. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, except that he was stillborn. As we searched for answers to his untimely death, we also searched for comfort. This blog was created as a way of working through my sorrow by trying to find something beautiful in the world each day. Hopefully, along the way it will help others to heal as well.

Cake Pops & Emmy's

This morning when I walked into the office I was greeted with an Emmy. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me, but rather for our casting department. They had won the Emmy at the Technical Emmy's this past weekend in LA. So they decided they would bring the Emmy to our office so everyone could see it. We also just happened to be filming on stage today so not only did the office people get to see it but a lot of the crew did too. I met some of the casting people I did not know yet and then took a picture of their Emmy before heading to the stages for rehearsal. I was amazed when I picked it up at how heavy the Emmy actually was. It was also a lot larger than I had imagined. It is really great to work on a show that is winning such awards and hopefully this weekend we will pick up even more Emmy's at the televised show.

The rest of my day was pretty uneventful but busy! I was glad to be on stage though out of the rain and cold. But the highlight of my day came in the afternoon when the accounting PA brought me a cake pop she had made. I had seen a picture on instagram of a monster cake she made that was adorned with cake pops on top and I commented how yummy it all looked. So when she had some cake pops left, she brought me one! How sweet. And oh how yummy! I know that the odds of me developing gestational diabetes later in my pregnancy are high, so I'm going to enjoy eating this sugar now before I no longer can! Today Damian finally figured out I was pregnant. He came up to me and whispered in my ear, "are you pregnant?" When I told him I was, he gave me a hug and told me he was so happy to hear that and would be praying for me that everything went well this time.
