Nolan Eason

At 1:03AM on Friday, March 30, 2012 my first child was born - a son. We named him Nolan Eason. 21" long, 5lb 3oz. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, except that he was stillborn. As we searched for answers to his untimely death, we also searched for comfort. This blog was created as a way of working through my sorrow by trying to find something beautiful in the world each day. Hopefully, along the way it will help others to heal as well.

14 1/2 weeks

We had our ultrasound this morning! Everything looked great. Doctor Wright said the baby looked healthy and everything was looking just as it should. I'm 14 weeks and 4 days. The baby's heartbeat was 149 and they estimated the baby weighed about 3 ounces. Tiny little thing but healthy! Our next ultrasound we will know the baby's sex!

Afterwards I had to travel back to Charlotte to work tomorrow. Long weekends at home always make the travel back extremely hard. At least I have new photos of my baby to look at! And I saw the infamous google maps car while stopped to fill up with gas. So that's how they get those pictures of our house.
