Nolan Eason

At 1:03AM on Friday, March 30, 2012 my first child was born - a son. We named him Nolan Eason. 21" long, 5lb 3oz. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, except that he was stillborn. As we searched for answers to his untimely death, we also searched for comfort. This blog was created as a way of working through my sorrow by trying to find something beautiful in the world each day. Hopefully, along the way it will help others to heal as well.

Emma

First day back at work after a four day weekend and I'm late! Well, technically I wasn't late. In fact, I was 10 minutes early to the crew parking lot. And there I stood for the next 30 minutes. Along with 8 other crew members. Fortunately, the ADs and director all knew we were there and that we were simply waiting on a van. Apparently they were short staffed this morning and traffic downtown was horrendous. I barely got to set and got all my stuff out before we started shooting!

We were working with Damian this morning and he was still glowing from his big win at the Emmy's. He had also brought along with him to work his precious Emmy, or as his children called it, his "Emma." His kids are so stinking cute. Of course they are British and I think all British children are adorable with their charming little accents. Damian was great though and I think because he had forgotten to mention the crew in his acceptance speech, he was trying to make up for it. He wanted to make sure everyone held the Emmy and took their picture with it and he made sure to tell everyone it was their win too. After all, we did win Best Drama and you don't get best drama without an awesome crew to help you.

It was a great first day back as first days go. I had new baby photos to show those who asked and everyone seemed pleased to hear that all was still well with the baby. I truly do think people are just as anxious for good news as we are. Nobody wants to see their friends endure what we had to go through, and certainly not twice.
