Nolan Eason

At 1:03AM on Friday, March 30, 2012 my first child was born - a son. We named him Nolan Eason. 21" long, 5lb 3oz. He was beautiful and perfect in every way, except that he was stillborn. As we searched for answers to his untimely death, we also searched for comfort. This blog was created as a way of working through my sorrow by trying to find something beautiful in the world each day. Hopefully, along the way it will help others to heal as well.

Test Results

Today I received some more good news! My second blood work came in and when my doctor compared it to the previous one all my numbers increased as expected. She was very please with the results and so am I. It gave me a huge sigh of relief to know that at least for now everything was progressing normally. Perhaps it will give me a little peace until Aug 28th when we go in for our first ultrasound. I spent the rest of my day on stage hoping the day would go fast and I could get off early so I could get to Wilmington at a decent time tonight.

We ended up have 2 units filming today and I chose to work with the one on stage because they came in earlier and so are bound to finish early. Unfortunately, it was the "ghetto" unit of the 2 in that we didn't have all the amenities that we normally have on set. We didn't have the caterers, we didn't have the craft service truck and we had the ghetto video village cart. But since we were on stage, we were able to get around some of that. We ended up raiding the office kitchen for food. In fact, I spent some time in there with some others and we realized the office PAs must have gotten really bored for they found a new use for binder clips. They had used them as clip chips for all the bags in the kitchen and then hung the bags on the wall. It was truly a culinary art form. For lunch, I decided to forgo our new caterers and went to Panera for some soup and a smoothie. The best part of the day, however, was getting off at 10:30pm and getting to Wilmington at 1:30am. It definitely beat last weekend when I didn't get to Wilmington until nearly 4am so I was ecstatic. It's going to be a fantastic weekend home!
